Things to consider with knee pain

Knee pain is a common problem, affecting a lot of people out there.

You can see that the knee does its fair share of work during our lifetime, and I personally feel we should them give a round-of-applause 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. Our knees can generally take a real pounding, but sometimes the mechanics (tight or weak muscles/ joint stiffness above or below/ joint wear & tear/ poor control of movement) can lead to an increase in stress on the joint, causing pain. 🤕 If you experience consistent pain in your knees, they may be showing signs of getting tired of it all. The best thing to do at this point, is to change your activity slightly, for a short period of time, to avoid eliciting pain as best as you can. Remain active but just tek it easy a little bit. The notepad then explains the basics & when managed early, the knee typically responds well to physiotherapy which often includes a good old strengthening programme. [I encourage people who are not experiencing pain to continue as they are, but to also consider other varieties of exercise that will keep the knee strong & flexible for long term maintenance!
